THE PITS TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP

The Pits proudly presents the first major add-on to the NASCAR2 simulator...with The Pits Touring Car Championship. You won't get any closer to racing these 300 horsepower road-course burning race cars without putting a helmet on! We've taken the time to completely work through the simulator, and rework all the aspects to give you the feel of sitting in one of these monsters, slamming the six-speed as you dive into the corner with the low-profile tires giving you a tenuous grip. If you've never seen the real touring cars at work, you're in for a real treat...you'll be hooked when you get behind the wheel!

The changes

  • The entire field of the British Touring Car Championship factory cars, along with seven of the North American Touring Car Championship drivers, for a large field of race cars. Driver pics and team info included. A large multitude of cars...Volvo, BMW, Dodge, Honda, Ford, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Renault, Nissan, Toyota, Audi, and even a Saab! The settings are realistically based on the performance of the real drivers and cars.

  • New Artificial Intelligence (AI) to give you realistic touring car action. Expect to get passed alot if you don't keep on the ball!
  • New 3d bodies that look more like the real touring cars.
  • New sounds for the gearshift, engines, tires, and crashes. Choose between 2 car engines, the Toyota and BMW.
  • New tracks to run, provided you've either purchased David Noonan's converter, or downloaded the free converter. The limited schedule includes Watkins Glen, Sears Point, Portland, and Long Beach for anyone who's downloaded the free converter. The full schedule includes MidOhio, Elkhart Lake, and Laguna Seca. Don't forget, ICR2 required for either converter...however, you can still run the 2 road courses in NASCAR 2! The converted tracks all have new graphics, grip factors, and AI changes.

    MultiPlayer

    This patch has been tested for racing multiplayer, and all functionality exists. Currently, you must create a driver's list called "multi", from that point on it will work. We will fix that in future versions, and send a multi.lst file with the patch.

    The Championship

    You want to really race these touring cars? Well, we have just the deal for you...The Pits Touring Car Championship is a new racing league run by Sean Staples, and he will be running the official League for The Pits. You don't even need the full converter to run the initial season, the free converter will do just fine.
