Tony Kelley has done a nice NASCAR 3 cockpit...it's currently only available in 1024x768 resolution, but it's superb...check it out here! Rich Hovey sent us a link to his page where he describes his 'screen magnifier'. Interesting concept, we've not tried it out yet, but it could be worth a look, and very cheap as well! Synchroplay and TrackAction are working on providing a standardized car file designation for league drivers...check it out if you're interested in doing some standard league carsets. Don Sklenka is doing a CART Fantasy league...you can check it out or join up at UFRacing. Troy Scott of SimRacer's Community emailed us to let us know that he's taking registrations from sim racer's worldwide to allow people to see who else lives close to them and find another local racer...go check it out! And less I forget and Honda Vince whoops up on me with his 11 second Civic, him and Adrian have put up some new updated paintjobs for the N99 touring cars at IWCCCARS...to go along with Stan-da-man-down-under's new bodies. The dedicated server that is included in NASCAR Legends is undergoing
further refinements and is being tested by a small group of outside testers.
They won't say much to you about what they're doing because they're under
nondisclosure. We haven't announced any plan for releasing the dedicated
server for N3 but we are actively working on multiplayer enhancements for
NASCAR Racing 3 and NASCAR Legends, and we intend to release these
enhancements to a wider group as soon as they're complete and ready for
prime time. If you've got comments, bug reports, or feature requests for multiplayer
enhancements to N3 and NLegends, please send email to server_help@papy.com. We're particularly interested in getting feedback about NASCAR Legends right
now, because there are enhancements in the multiplayer security and packet
protocols in NASCAR Legends that should make for a better multiplayer
experience. We need feedback to know if these enhancements work as designed
in the real world.

10 Jan - Mutiny in the Stands...
There has been a bit of an uproar lately about posting of copyrighted products on the internet for sim racing, and people are wondering what's to blame and why is it wrong...however, we've taken the bull by the horns and let you know EXACTLY what's going on...

8 Jan - News, News, and more News...
The Pits Grand National Car Club is going well...we've had alot of people sign up, and had some great racing online. Here's the finish of the Martinsville race we ran this afternoon...great racing! Thanks to Sean and Tim Wheatley for putting this all together. If you are interested in getting into some great online Legends racing, or have a Legends league and would like advertise it, come on down and join us!
Chris Myers of the Black Flag II awarded us their Sim Site of the Week award...we thank ya, Chris!
1 Jan - Racing into the New Year...
The Pits own Sean Staples and Tim Wheatley have joined together to bring NASCAR Legends racers a new group...The Pits Grand National Car Club. Since there seems to be a lack of online Legends racing, we've put together this group to help Legends racers find other Legends racers. The other idea behind this is to allow racers who want clean races to be able to find other clean racers. Racing league administrators are welcome to join as well.
The TPTCC Winter Tour is here...go to the TPTCC link at left to join up for the winter season. This winter tour will have both V8s and 2 liters, and will visit a version of Australia that has not been released to anyone before.

Of course, it had to be us! While you're nursing that lead head (and we know it wasn't a side on impact with the wall that did it to you), you can peruse Gilles' new CarEdit...edits BOTH bodies from NL and N3 now!
29 Dec - Daytona Flattened...
We heard from an 'official' source today that there is nothing to the rumour of the Daytona track being added into any NASCAR products next year. That doesn't mean it won't happen, that just means that at this time there is no official plans/agreement to do so.
27 Dec - Update to the N4 preview...
We've heard from several people who obviously have SEEN this product with their own eyes, and it is what was originally supposed to be NASCAR 3, before it was cancelled in favor of what we got for N3. However, the anonymous person who sent us the original pics said that this was being tested for N4, so we'll see what else we can find out.
23 Dec - DOH!
Sorry, we previously announced 'NASCAR 3' as the new photos, but it's for NASCAR 4, although one of the interior menus says 'NASCAR 3', however, we do have one unconfirmed rumour to report from another mailed-in source that Daytona may be available with the Truck add-on to NASCAR 3 released next year...more info as it becomes available.
23 Dec - Spy Photos...
an anonymous poster sent us some interesting stuff this morning...some spy shots of...wait for it...drum roll...Papyrus' NASCAR 4! Take a full look at some of the details of the up and coming replacement for the aged NASCAR 2 engine here! And that's not the only good news today, 2 days from Christmas...we're giving you a nice Christmas pressie! The new GPL oval converter is done! And you can get it right here! Note: the new converter is designed for those who would like to race these tracks online, as the AI is not sorted for them. However, if any GPL gurus would like to take a stab at that and do some of it, please let us know...As well, the Atlanta and Talladega conversions MUST be taken from N3, they will not work from other versions.
21 Dec - Winging their way...
to your computer, there are new updates to the NASCAR Legends Realism Project, some great information and detailed pictures of the winged warriors involved...

14 Dec - And the Winner IS...
Well, the 3rd Annual Bullrun 1000 is finally done...and what a race it was! Wet track, dark track, everything was there for the entire 171 laps of the Bullrun 1000. Yep, that's 625 miles! We'd like to thank Jon Van Ginneken for the Bullrun 2K track that was run this year, and all the competitors who got involved in the event. The winners? Well, for the V8 class, Goy Larsen and Stuart Brown of The Pits Performance Team took the win with an average lap of 118 mph around the circuit. The winners of the 2 Liter Touring cars was Sandy Robinson and David Hastie of Aussie Racing with an average over the full race of 116 mph. And I will be happy to add that yours truly and Jim Kerekes of IWCCCARS took 2nd in the V8 class for a Pits sweep of the top 2 spots...and Sandy and David took 3rd! In touring, the Paul 'Black Cat' Hamilton/Adrian Collier IWCCCARS/TSR Honda took 2nd, while the James Altemus/Trevor Blevins Chevy took 3rd for SS Motorsports. Congrats to all for another great event!

One can surmise it will again include the tracks that the trucks run that don't appear in N3...and maybe even a re-released Portland International (roadcourse from ICR2)? One can only hope...

Two classes again this year, the V8s (to simulate either the Aussie V8s running this weekend at Bathurst, and the new DTM 2000 German series) and the 2 liter tourers. Grab your parter and spin her around...or get her to take the Bull by the horns with you! You only need TPTCC99 and a copy of N99 to run.
